Blotter: Daytime Robbery; Sexual Assault; and a Telemarketer's Death Threat
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Daytime robbery
Two men told police that they were robbed by two males near at around 3:30 p.m. Nov. 13. The suspects also punched the victims while robbing them of their cell phones and car keys. Officers caught up with the suspects about 20 minutes later up on Magee Avenue. Both of them — one of them a juvenile — were charged with robbery.
Sexual assault

A woman who lives in the 12000 block of Detroit Avenue told police that she was sexually assaulted at around noon Nov. 12. Police are investigating.
Grand theft

Two men were charged with a host of charges after a car was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Elbur Avenue. At around 3 a.m. Nov. 11. They each face charges of grand theft auto and receiving stolen property — among others.

Police responded to on Detroit Avenue for a report of a man arguing with the cashier about being short-changed at around 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11. According to the report, the man took matters into his own hands, reaching over the counter to take money from the cash register. The man, and the woman with him, were both charged with petty theft and obstructing official business.
Telemarketer threatens to kill Lakewood resident
A man in the 1700 block of Arthur Avenue told police that he received a death threat from a telemarketer at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 11. The man told police he wanted the incident documented in case of problems in the future.
Cigarette bandit
received a call about a man who stole four cartons of cigarettes from the on Clifton Boulevard at around 10 p.m. Nov. 11. The man took off on foot. Police were unable to catch him.
Large fight, juveniles arrested
Police received a report of about 20 kids fighting in the 1500 block of Alameda Avenue at around 11:50 p.m. Nov. 12. Officers arrested four boys on a number of charges including drug abuse, drug paraphernalia and jaywalking. They were all charged with violating curfew.
