Blotter: Burglary; Rape; and Stealing Candy While Drunk

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

The resident of a house in the 1400 block of Mars Avenue told police that the home was broken into at around midnight Aug. 5. An X-Box, speakers, laptop computers and other electronics were reported stolen.

Charges for man who kicked out window

A man faces a few charges after he kicked out the window of a taxicab at the on Detroit Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 5. The cab driver told police that the man was in the backseat when he kicked out the window. Police charged the man with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and providing false information to a police officer.

Rape

A man was arrested and charged with rape in the early morning of Aug. 6, after an incident in the bathroom of a bar in the 13400 block of Madison Avenue. The woman refused treatment at the scene, but was taken by officers to MetroHealth Hospital. 

Stealing candy while drunk

Police charged a man with theft and public drunkenness after he stole some candy from the on W. 117th Street at around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 6. 

Passed out on the curb

A man who was “passed out on the curb” in the 1400 block of Lakewood Avenue was charged with disorderly conduct at around 3 a.m. Aug. 7.
