Attempted Robbery at Subway

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Attempted robbery

A man handed a note to an employee at the on W. 117th Street demanding the money in the cash register, or he would “blow her head off” at around 4 p.m. June 27. The employee called his bluff, and the man took off running north on W. 117th Street. Police were unable to catch up with the man.

Police received a call that a man and woman were “running up and down” Detroit Avenue yelling at around 2:30 a.m. June 26. Turns out they were reciting poetry while waiting for a bus.

Dumping grass at the neighbor’s

A resident of a home in the 1200 block of Elbur Avenue told police that her neighbor was dumping grass clippings on her lawn at around 1 p.m. June 26. Officers told them it was a civil issue.

Disturbance

A man told police that two men tried to “jump him” in the 16900 Hilliard Road at around 8:30 p.m. June 26. Police were unable to catch the men.

Burglary

A resident in an apartment in the 16200 block of Madison Avenue told someone broke in the night before on June 27. Nothing was reported stolen.
