Cory McAfee Eardly, Lakewood Resident, Dies at 26

Lakewood man loved skateboarding and snowboarding; leaves behind many friends and relatives.

 

Cory Robert Jesus McAfee Eardly, a Lakewood resident died Jan. 11.

He died just a few weeks shy of his 27th birthday.

McAfee Eardly is survived by his parents Jim and Syndie McAfee Eardly; his brother Jay McAfee Eardly and his sister-in-law Katie Hardiman Eardly; his nephew Graham McAfee Eardly; and his grandmother Eileen McAfee Schnebelen; his aunts and uncles Mary (McAfee) and Bruce Asmus, Pat McAfee, Nancy McAfee, Terri (McAfee) and Tom Vicarel, Linda and Dan Badia; his cousins Katie Asmus, Suzi Asmus, Christy Asmus, James Asmus, Matt Vicarel, Adam Vicarel, Emily Vicarel, Hannah McAfee, Danny McAfee, Laura (Eardly) Salmon, and Lisa (Eardly) Petrousky, and their husbands, wives, and partners, and their children, all who were greatly loved by Cory.

He will also be missed by his beloved skateboarding and snowboarding friends from Lakewood, Denver, Steamboat Springs and Breckenridge who meant the world to him. His huge spirit and loving heart will live on forever in each of us.

Calling hours are set to take place at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 16. Funeral Mass is set at the St. Luke Church at 10 a.m. Jan. 17.
