State Rep. Antonio Gets Some Love in the 40th Anniversary Issue of Ms. Magazine

Much is being written regarding U.S. women who take the upcoming election very seriously. There are so many issues to consider that impact our daily lives: health care, education, reproductive rights, protection against violence, military spending and equal pay to name a few.
I am pleased to announce that I am quoted in an article entitled “Women’s Lives in the Balance” by Beth Baker in the 40th Anniversary Issue (fall 2012) of Ms. Magazine available online and at newsstands. Now more than ever, we need to cast a ballot that moves us forward…..not one that takes us back two centuries ago to the suffrage movement when women were considered not independent nor intelligent enough to vote.
The Ms. article addresses many topics that we as women need to consider when heading to the polls this election cycle. I hope that you will pick up a copy of the magazine at your local newsstand or the library to read this important issue.
