URGENT: Foster Home Needed
CCLAS is looking for an experienced foster who can nurse these sweet girls back to health.
Thelma & Louise, a sad story looking for a happy ending
Thelma & Louise were found abandoned and starving on the streets of Lakewood. Both declawed, they had no way to hunt for food. They were brought to the shelter and quickly adopted. However, just a few days into their new life, the owner knew something was wrong. The girls were brought to Lakewood Animal Hospital and diagnosed with Fatty Liver Disease. The disease is not contagious and is caused by starvation. The disease causes the animal to not eat on their own. Louise was given a 10% chance of survival.
CCLAS decided to take on the task of nursing these girls back to health and as of today, their condition is fair. We had to take them out of Lakewood Animal Hospital and we are now desperately searching for a foster home.
The girls need some extra TLC - syringe feeding for the next week or so. With the right care and support, we know they can pull through.
Can you or someone you know help? CCLAS will cover any medical costs. Please contact CCLAS at cclaspets@gmail.com or cclasweb@yahoo.com if you are interested in fostering.
