Adopt a Foster Kitty from the Lakewood Animal Shelter!

The Lakewood Animal Shelter is full! Many of our cats are in foster care, waiting patiently to be matched with the best possible fur-ever family!

Are you new to adopting and not sure where to start? Or maybe you've adopted before but you have circumstances in your life (children, other pets, allergies, etc.) that require a certain temperament from your next pet. Foster pets are a great way to go! Animals that go through foster care have been living in a home with a foster parent who gets to know the pet in an environment outside a noisy animal shelter and can help match that pet with its best possible fur-ever family.

The Lakewood Animal Shelter currently has more than 10 cats in foster care that are available for adoption! Below are a few:

  • Louie (#316) - A black male that is DECLAWED, making him the perfect indoor kitty for your family!
  • Abigail (#275) - Beautiful silver female with the prettiest green eyes.
  • Hope (#166) - Sweet Hope came with a litter of kittens that have all been adopted. Needs a cat-free home.
  • Quark (#200) - Another mama cat that is happy to be safe and sound at her foster home!
  • Sass (#294) - Gorgeous all white girl that lives up to her name!
  • Wendy (#15) - Found abanadoned in an apartment building, she loves people and attention.

All cats in foster care are available for adoption through the Lakewood Animal Shelter. Adoption fees are always - only $35. The fee includes a deworming treatment, an initial vaccination, flea prevention treatment, a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and an initial wellness exam with a second vaccination from participating local veterinarians. Adoption hours are Tuesdays & Thursday 12 to 6, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 12-4. Please visit our website at http://www.cclas.info and our blog at http://cclaspets.blogspot.com/
