Moving Hearts Gallery and National Adoption Month

The Lakewood Public Library (main branch) is currently presenting a special exhibit on the 2nd floor. The Moving Hearts Gallery is a photography exhibit that showcases local children who are in need of a safe, loving, permanent family. The exhibit is displayed throughout the year in Northeastern Ohio and will be open at the Lakewood library until the first week of January. To coincide with November's National Adoption Month, library staff have also created a special book display in the new book area on the first floor with a focus on foster care and adoption. On November 24 and December 1, from 2pm-5pm, City of Lakewood Division of Youth staff will have a table set up by the library circulation desk in order to provide information to anyone interested in learning more about becoming a foster or adoptive parent. Please contact Donna Rakerd at 216-529-6108 with any questions.

The Moving Hearts Gallery is a partnership between Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services, Adoption Network Cleveland, and the City of Lakewood Department of Human Services, Division of Youth (Lakewood Family Collaborative) http://cfs.cuyahogacounty.us/en-us/heart-gallery2.aspx.
