ATC II

The Artist Trading Card (ATC) movement developed out of the mail art movement with its origins traced to Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann in 1996.The tiny art trend has been growing ever since. Using paint, pencil, ink, collage, metal, or other media, artists create miniature works of art about the same size as modern trading cards (2.5 by 3.5 inches).

We at Breakneck gallery again asked as many local artists as we could to make as many small pieces of art as they could, so we could build a second collection (Last year there were more than 300 pieces!). While usually these cards are swapped or traded among artists, we feel that these Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEOs) are great way for people to collect multiple, affordable original pieces from their favorite local artists, literally putting art in the palm of their hands. On March 15th, first time collectors to long time art connoisseurs will surely walk away with something to show.

Featuring cards from Angela Oster, CHOD, Jeff Hulligan, Sean Burns, and 30+ other artists!

There will be an opening reception Saturday March 15th from 6pm-10pm with food, drinks, fun, and as always ART!

There will be a 21+ after party held at the Spitfire Saloon 1539 W.117th St.
