'Captain America' Keeps Evil, Traffic Tied Up

The filming of the super hero film may cause some headaches on Lakewood roads.

While Captain America does protect the world from evil forces, he can't keep traffic flowing freely during a movie shoot.

While the newest super hero flick is being filmed in Cleveland, has been been backed up because of roadclosures, impacting Lakewood drivers.

Because the film is shutting down West Shoreway from Lake Avenue near Edgewater Park to East Ninth Street between May 29 though June 14, that will cause east bound traffic to bottle up.

See what's happening on the roads with Patch's Commute Tab.

“Traffic management is going to be the big headache for us,” Mayor Mike Summers told the Sun News Herald.

I know it will be difficult but isn't it fun to think of the films that are being filmed here so close to home? Then when we see them on the big screen we recognize where they were filmed. I love it! :)

Nice to have a movie being made right down the street from Lakewood! The Shoreway isn't the only street that will be blocked. Many streets in Lakewood are due to be repaved this summer. Wouldn't it be nice to avoid getting delayed in a construction zone?! Here is list of streets targeted for resurfacing this summer. http://www.onelakewood.com/pdf/2013_Eng_AsphaltResurfacing.pdf

looks, it's three weeks of legitimate excuse for being late to work! :) How many time can you say you can't make it in because a super hero is saving the day and you have to stay out of the way!
