Pets of the Week: Oh Brother!

Meet Mackie and Matty. These littermates are nearly identical in appearance, personality and quirks. Both are easy going, inquisitive, and handsome.

Mackie’s the sweet one, who loves a few cuddles. He’ll always be near. He prods and he nuzzles. Matty’s just as cool. Laid back and sweet. He waits patiently for love. And of course a few treats! Are you looking for two simply awesome pets? Well look no more.

Click on the slideshow on the right to see how goofy Mackie and Matty were at last weekend’s adoption event. It was impossible to get them to look at the camera together at the same time. There was just too much to check out at Petco.

In an effort to find these fellows fur-ever homes fast, the Lakewood Animal Shelter has reduced all adoption fees for spayed or neutered shelter cats to only $15 through September 30th. Normally $35, the adoption fee includes deworming medicine, initial vaccination, flea treatment, a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and a voucher for a wellness visit with second vaccination at participating local veterinarians.

To make the deal even sweeter, Mackie and Matty’s adoption fee is BOGO! That’s adopt a brother get a brother, or better known as Buy One, Get One! Of course, if you love them both, but can only take one, that’s okay too. Ask for collar # 278 for Mackie and collar # 279 for Matty.  Both are neutered, have received their initial vaccinations, and were treated with Revolution.
