Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season in Downtown Lakewood.  It was truly an evening to remember.  Tens of thousands of people packed the streets to celebrate!

--- Intercepted Email from Buddy the Elf to The Grinch:

This by far is one of my favorite nights of the year. For one, I love the fun we are able to have together. Your antics make LUL fun for me. Thank you Grinch!
As for this year, I've never seen so many people in downtown Lakewood ever. This event has become a signature if not the flagship of LakewoodAlive events. It's my favorite, after smiling if course; or singing in the north pile which we do all the time by the way.
This year's highlights for me: I loved the popcorn balls - people were crazy for them. Kudos to whomever got Campbell's to donate them. They were delicious on top of fun to pass out.  This was the best ceremony ever. The three girls (Ivy, Jordyn and Peach) were adorable, bagpiper was amazing, Viva l'Four was cool, the Peddlers of Mirth and Bill Knittel were a Lakewood original, and the lights. Oh my. The lights. Finally When we flipped the switch, huge amounts of lights actually turned on. The purply spot lights are my favorite!
Omg. The parade was beyond successful. Such amazing people marched in it and it was fun to see the kiddies' faces on the sidelines.
A few more of my highlights: a group of 10-11 yr old girls who were so thrilled to get a sticker from me and were so hopeful they would get onto the nice list again. I also guessed multiple kids favorite color making their eyes bug out I wonderment.
Of course, to my elf helper, Mariana, you were great. A reliable and steady helper throughout the night. My favorite part with you was the ride in the pedicab, although pushing you onto a moving horse carriage was a close second.
I will say it was the best LUL on record. Never before has everything gone so smooth. For this I thank you Tamara. You are Lakewood. Your daily dedication to this LUL was amazing. I know first hand how hard you worked.  Lakewood is lucky to have you as is Buddy!

     Peace, love and Merry Christmas.
Santa, btw, I know him. --- Buddy
