bad attitude and a lack of critical thinking

pretty average shop, good selection, prices are what you expect them to be, location is good, customer service is SHAKY... my first time in, I was interested in buying an e-cigarette, and the woman was very helpful and walked me through the whole process and was very friendly.the second time I went in, I was buying tobacco and incense. They were two small boxes labeled "free sample" in the display of incense that I was purchasing, & I grabbed both of them. when I was checking out I asked her (the same woman from my first trip) if it was okay that I grab both of the free samples,and in a very aggressive way she said "those aren't free". when I showed her that they say free sample, she said "those are free for us not for you". I  obviously caught her off guard, and she didn't know how to handle the situation, but making things up and lying were not the way. I tried suggesting she speak to her manager about it, but she had stopped listening to me at this point, and as we were finishing my $40 transaction, she did a fake-friendly sort of "thanks, come again".

I went to the store for a second time because my first experience was so good. I won't go back again because of the way she handled the situation, and the way she spoke to me.

with so many tobacco shops around, you can get just about anything you need,  just about anywhere else.  

I'd also like to point out I've never left a bad review for anything in my life...but being lied to, or given information without basis is a real pet peeve of mine...

was it worth losing my business? over two incense cones that probably cost 30 cents to produce, and were given to you as a retailer to give to customers to entice them to try new products?
