Value World is expected to open at 11900 Detroit Avenue, in the space of the former Discount Drug Mart.
The city’s architectural board of review recently OK’d the plans for the store’s sign, after the company agreed to reduce the size.
“Which is what the board wanted from the very beginning,” said city planner Bryce Sylvester.
Work has already begun on the building, and the company recently finished resurfacing the parking lot.
Value World's Cleveland location, near W. 107th Street and Lorain Avenue, is expected to close its doors.
