Lakewood Senior Health Campus' Makeover Wraps Up

The remodeled space nows house equipment for the treatment of outpatient dialysis, offers a waiting room and treatment rooms, as well as office space, according to the proposal to the city earlier this year.

In its effort to “modernize” the structure at the corner of Detroit Avenue and Bunts Road, the health campus planned — and executed — a major facelift to the property.

The remodeled space will now house equipment for the treatment of outpatient dialysis, offers a waiting room and treatment rooms, as well as office space, earlier this year.

The idea was to update the facility to partner with the to provide a 13-unit dialysis system on the site, said John O’Neill, the manager and owner of the 150-bed nursing home, earlier this year.

“Because of the arrangement with the Clinic, the patients will often be residents of the nursing home,” he said.

Also, as part of the makeover, includes a renovated parking lot, a new canopy and a curb cut onto Detroit Avenue. The facility has also cleaned up its landscaping on the property and updated the colors.
