Plans were for a new brick façade on the structure that will now also house Orange Julius, a national chain that serves fruit drinks.

The store has been closed during construction.

The proposal includes removing the exterior of the structure — at 16803 Detroit Avenue — and adding brick.

The rest of the property — including the landscaping, drive-thru and interior of the building — would remain the same, according to the plans presented to city’s architectural board of review.
