Some of the merchandise is new, and some is resale.

Gloria and Steve Kessler, who own the boutique, said that the brands include Chico's, Talbot’s, Hollister and Apple Bottoms — and prices in the store range from $3.99 to $50.

“We’re trying to have things that you’d get in California or New York — but without those prices — right here in Lakewood,” said co-owner Steve Kessler. “I like Lakewood. It’s not uppity like other places. You can’t buy anything for $3.99 at Crocker Park.”

“We’ve got something for everyone,” added Gloria Kessler. “Especially with the economy we’re trying to accommodate everyone’s income.”

Just 4 Girlz also purchases clothes.

“I’ve always been interested in retail,” Gloria said. “Since I worked in retail when I was in high school, this is always something I wanted to do.”

She’s worked at Nationwide in Lakewood for 14 years. She said she’s familiar with the city’s walkability — which was one of the main attractions when picking a spot.

Another draw was the newly renovated building, owned by Theresa Busser.

“There’s great foot traffic and there’s such a diverse group of people in Lakewood,” Gloria Kessler said.

The Kesslers are hoping to unveil the store to the community this weekend — just in time for the Lakewood Arts Festival.

And they have partnered with Coffee for a Cause, which will sell coffee at the store from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Iced coffee will be available. Proceeds will be donated to the Rape Crisis Center.
