Lakewood Wing Crawl 2012: Eat, Shuffle, Repeat

As many as 1,000 people are expected to hit the streets of Lakewood going from bar-to-bar trying different wings. Then, a winner will be picked.

Six hours, dozens of different wings and 11 bars.

That just about summarizes the 2012 Lakewood Wing Crawl.

It costs 20 bucks.

As many as 1,000 people are expected to hit the streets of Lakewood going from bar-to-bar trying different wings from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

And each year, the event keeps growing.

This Saturday's event, organized by the Pillars of Lakewood young professionals club, will shuttle partiers around to enjoy 4 wings at each of the 11 locations stretching from to

After attendees sample all the buffalo flavored fare, they cast their votes to help determine the deep-fried winner.

The participating restaurants are Around the Corner, , , Deagan’s, , Local Bar and Grill, , , , , and .

, last year’s Best Wings champ, looks to win a second-year in a row.

“I’d like to think so,” said Dan Deagan, the co-owner of the Deagan’s. “Last year was great, we had about 800 people. It was fantastic.”
