Humble Wine Bar Expected to Open in Time for Lakewood Arts Festival

The owners of Deagan's, who brought the successful "gastropub" concept to Lakewood, are opening their second business in the city.

With the interior build-out well under way, the Humble Wine Bar is expected to open its doors in the renovated Lakewood Plaza.

And the spot could be open as soon as Aug. 3, in time for the Lakewood Arts Festival, according to city officials.

The owners of Deagan’s — who brought the successful “gastropub” concept (high-end beer and quality food) to Lakewood — are opening a second business in the city.
This one will offer wine and some wood-fired-oven pizza.

Work on the interior of the 2,000-square-foot space began this spring.

The 60- to 70-person seating area will face the Detroit Avenue, with a kitchen in the back — which will include a wood-fired pizza oven.

Dan Deagan, along with his wife, Erika, and partner Dan Stroup plan to open the wine bar in the space just to the east of Discount Drug Mart.

Deagan’s Kitchen and Bar has already proven itself as one of the staples and a main attraction in the downtown Lakewood dining district.
