Cotton Opens on Detroit Avenue

Where there were once office cubicles, are now rows of classy tableware and duvets.

Though the red ribbon hasn't yet been cut with giant, red scissors, Cotton has opened its doors on Detroit Avenue

The space that most recently housed the office of former US Rep. Dennis Kucinich has been completely transformed into Cotton, a high-end linen business.

Where there were once office cubicles, are now rows of classy tableware and duvets.

The large space even smells fancy.

The new business will be “the place to go to by mid- to high-end sheets, duvets, tablecloths and linens,” said owner David Stein, who also owns Plantation Home across Detroit Avenue. He added that the store will also offer a variety of tableware and “one-of-a-kind” ladies handbags.

The months-long renovation included landscaping, new signs and a relocation of the entrance from the east side of the building to a new main south entrance with concrete walkway.

An official grand opening is slated for later this month.
