Burger King Facelift Is Under Way

A massive renovation is well under way at Burger King on Madison Avenue.

The burger chain’s floor plan will largely remain the same at the restaurant at the corner of Madison Avenue and 117th Street. But that’s about it.

The owner of the restaurant, Cleveland-based Franchise Operations, submitted plans to Lakewood City Hall earlier this year.

Plans — that were later approved — include changes to the entrances, interior walls and drive-thru windows. According to the proposal, the shingled roof would be replaced a metal, seamed roof.

New paint, signs and graphics are also planned — including a large "Home of the Whopper" sign on the building.
