Brew 133 to Open in Former Sullivan's Location This Summer

Brew 133 owner Shawn Botkins told the Scene that there are plenty of dive bars in Lakewood, but "there is a need for an authentic sports bar."

Residents have been buzzing about the activity at the shuttered Sullivan’s Irish Pub on Madison Avenue.

There’s now some definitive developments — and yes, you can get your mug back.

Brew 133, a sports bar, is expected to open in the location on 13368 Madison Avenue in July, reports the Cleveland Scene.

George couldn’t immediately be reached for comment on this story, but he told Lakewood Patch last year that he wasn’t interested in the property.

“Every time I look at a building, people think I am going to buy it,” George told Lakewood Patch last year.

Botkins, who is George’s brother-in-law, told the Scene that Brew 133 will be a "a bar first, not restaurant first.”

Think more than a dozen 50-inch flat screens, skee-ball and bar games.

Botkins also notes in the comments section of the Scene story that Sullivan’s patrons who left their mugs at the former Irish bar can stop by and pick them up during the week.
