Brew 133, at Former Sullivan’s Pub, Set to Open

The new sports bar moving into the location of the former Sullivan's Irish Pub is slated to open July 29.

Brew 133 received planning commission approval for a new outdoor patio, but the owners of the bar still have some work to do on their sign, per request of the city’s architectural board of review.

The new sports bar, at the location of the former Sullivan’s Irish Pub, is expected to open July 29. Even if that means obtaining a temporary sign permit from the city.

Planning commission chairman Mark Stockman asked if anything would change with the scope of the outdoor dining.

“Well, we’re going to have great food,” said co-owner Shawn Botkins.

“We’re basically cleaning the place up,” said the bar’s other owner, Tim Comerford, at Thursday’s architectural board of review meeting.

The George Group bought the building earlier this year.

Botkins told the Scene that Brew 133 will be a "a bar first, not restaurant first.”

Think more than a dozen 50-inch flat screens, skee-ball and bar games.
