Barroco Grill Moving Forward With Overhaul at Madison Avenue Restaurant

Plans for a renovation are in the works at the popular South American eatery.

The city has already OK’d a facelift for Barroco Grill at 12906 Madison Avenue, but the construction never really got off the ground.

The popular South American restaurant has re-submitted architectural drawings to the city’s building department, said city planner Bryce Sylvester.

Barroco owner Juan Vergara told Lakewood Patch last year there may be additional plans in the works to expand the kitchen to help service the restaurant’s new Cleveland location on West 6th Street.

Vergara said that the business has already spent tens of thousands of dollars to improve the space.

The city’s architectural board of review is expected to vote on the plans at an upcoming meeting.
