VIDEO: The Making of the Library's Public Art

The process to build the new landmark artwork in front of the took months and months.

Last year, the Lakewood Public Library Foundation's Art Selection Committee anounced who will design and install a  on the front lawn of the library.

Peter Diepenbrock, a sculptor from the Rhode Island School of Design, was chosen out of more than .

Now, there's a video to show the project — produced by Ben Burdick of the Lakewood Public Library — assembled from Diepenbrock's personal photos and the Lakewood Public Library's time-lapse study of the installation.

Burdick edited the piece and put it together, using an original score by musician Mike Jacobs.
