This Week: Classic Rock Tribute Bands And More

Allman Bros. and Michael Stanley get covered at The Winchester.

Welcome back Lakewood music lovers. We've got more classic rock tribute bands this week, as well as some modern jazz, folk and a little do-it-yourself fun to have on Tuesdays.

TONIGHT: At you can experience the complete live performance of the album "Stage Pass" originally by the Michael Stanley Band. Jonah Kolsen and Stage Pass Now recreate the show starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Local blues man Colin Dussault will be jamming with his trio at starting at 9 p.m. If you are a fan of the harmonica, you should not miss this.

Stop by to check out Fire Side, a local classic rock cover group. They keep things fresh with their original and acoustically inspired versions of all of your favorite tunes. They'll be there all night, with DJ Ricky filling in the breaks.

Gary Hall will be at starting at 8 p.m. This experienced song-collector will be playing a mix of old and new folk tunes and some other far out things.

If you wander into bela dubby around 9 p.m. you can catch an evening of some far out modern jazz. The experimental Oblique Orchestra headlines the show, with Rozanne Levine & Chakra Tuning and Orange Scheible Temple rounding out the bill.

Saturday: The Winchester hosts Idlewild, the Allman Brothers tribute band. These guys focus on reproducing the sound and feel of a classic Allman Brothers show, so if you have some fond memories to re-live or if you want to see what your dad was talking about, come check it out. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are only $7.

Stop by The Screaming Rooster for a taste of some classic electric blues with Blues on Fire. They'll be there from 9 p.m. until 1 in the morning.

Charlie in the Box will be playing at Around the Corner all night. These guys bring a lot of energy and an expansive song list that is sure to keep you entertained.

Check out local singer/songwriter Charlie Mosbrook at the Root Cafe, where he'll be playing and singing his original folk inspired songs starting at 7:30.

Bela dubby has an exciting night of music lined up, featuring: in your face rock band Autopunch from New York, hip-hop/rock band Woovs and prog./alternative outfit Debussi from Cleveland.

Tuesday: Stop by the for open mic night every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Try out your new jams, or come hear the freshest talent over a cup of coffee.

Bela dubby hosts the Improv Comedy Jams at 8 p.m. Show up at 7:30 if you want to test out your comedy skills every Tuesday at 8p.m.
