Lights, Camera, Lakewood!

Film "Fun Size" starts production Tuesday; shooting expected to continue today.

Months of speculation and waiting were cast aside Tuesday as production on the highly anticipated film “Fun Size” got under way in Lakewood.

“Fun Size” stars Nickelodeon’s Victoria Justice (Zoey 101, Victorious, iCarly) and will be directed by Josh Schwartz (Gossip Girl, Chuck). 

Arthur Avenue became a part of the set of a Paramount Picture on Tuesday. There were nearly a dozen trucks staged along the street.

Neighbors — many of them children — gathered on lawns on the street hoping to catch a glimpse of a star. The film is an adventure comedy about a girl who loses her younger brother on Halloween.

Patty Ryan, who lives just up the street, could see much of the action from her porch.

"This has been really exciting," said Ryan, who noted that her home was also considered for the movie.

Over the past few months,  at locations around the city to shoot the film.

There were reports Tuesday that there were other shots taken for the film around the city, including Geiger's Clothing and Sports.

Other locations around Northeast Ohio will also make appearances, including  and .

The crew went to great lengths to make sure the scenes of the home reflect the fall season, when the movie takes place. Gardeners were even called in to plant dozens of mums in the home's garden.

Shooting is expected to wrap-up late Wednesday evening following a motorcycle scene. One of the reasons Arthur Avenue was chosen was because of its smooth, paved street — something very important when shooting a movie. 

Mayor Michael Summers showed up Tuesday to welcome members of the production team.

"Among our west shore communities, this affirms that Lakewood is a really cool place," he said.
