Get Out: Have Some Fun Before The Fourth

Lots of things to catch before the holiday, so have fun.

1.  

Where/When: /Thursday June 30th 7-9 p.m.

Why Go: Come have some fun while helping out our local YMCA. $20 gets you in the door, where you can enjoy live music, a 50/50 raffle and all the wings and beer that you can handle.

Where/When: / Saturday July 2nd   9 p.m.

Why Go: Jersey consists of a great line up of musicians who share a passion for the music of Bruce Springsteen & The E. Street Band. 

You will hear all the greatest Springsteen hits including: Born To Run, Prove It All Night, Dancing In The Dark, 10th Avenue Freeze Out, Hungry Heart, Glory Days, Rosalita, Thunder Road and more!

Where/When: Monday July 4th 7-9:30 p.m.

Why Go: Continuing in the Lakewood Fourth of July tradition, the Lakewood Project (Lakewood High School’s rock orchestra) will be playing a free show before the fireworks at Lakewood Park. Bring a picnic blanket or some chairs, relax and enjoy the nation’s first high school rock orchestra.  

4. HOT SAUCE GRAVY AT THE SCREAMING ROOSTER

Where/When: /Saturday July 2nd 9 p.m.

Why Go: This fun sounding band will be playing jazzy, poppy originals and some covers at the Rooster this Saturday. Stop in for a drink and some neat music.  

5. OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE WINCHESTER

Where/When: Winchester/Thursday June 30th 8 p.m.

Why Go: Scope out the latest local singer-songwriters in one of Lakewood’s premier music venues. Or bring your guitar and that song you’ve been working on, and see if the public is ready for your unique sound. You can get a recording of your set for $5, and with $2 long island ice teas all night long, don’t be surprised if you end up staying late.
