Get Out: Bow Wow Events; Art Exhibit; and Rock and Roll

There's absolutely no reason to stay home this weekend.

Where/When: Corner of St. Charles and Detroit avenues; at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15; Free.

Why Go: With 250 registered dogs marching in the last year, it was easily — but unofficially — the largest dog parade in the country. The -sponsored event hopes to make it official this year, as organizers have submitted an application to make it official — with Guinness World Records. The Northeast Ohio Halloween tradition is set to take place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15. The fourth-annual parade will step-off at the corner of Detroit and St. Charles avenues at 2 p.m., and will march west to the and back.

Why go: Art dealer Paul Sykes and Beck Center for the Arts invite you to attend the Opening Reception for internationally acclaimed surrealist Natasha Turovsky from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Guests will preview her exhibition that will run through Sunday, Nov. 10 in the Jean Bulicek Galleria, Beck Café and Atrium Gallery in the Beck Center.

As always, all art exhibits at the Beck Center are free and open to the public.

Where/When: 15621 Madison Ave, Lakewood; noon Saturday, October 15

Why go: This month, the Cleveland Craft Coalition will be crafting for a local Lakewood-based dog rescue, All Dogs Heaven. The organization is decorating 100 percent cotton tote bags, great for grocery shopping, trick or treating, anytime you need a bag. CCC embellish the bags with paint, fabric, all kinds of fun stuff. They will be only $5 each, with proceeds going to the shelter. Great activity for all ages, kids and adults welcome. Save a tree and help save a dog!

Why Go: Passionate, electrifying blues guitarist and vocalist Kelly Richey has been described as "Stevie Ray Vaughan trapped in a woman's body with Janis Joplin screaming to get out." She’s bringing her talents to the Winchester on Saturday night.

Where/When: The Screaming Rooster; 7 p.m. Saturday, October 15.

Why Go: Lakewood Barktoberfest is raising money for animal rescue. It will be at the famous renowned for their live music. The event will include celebrity bar tending from 7-9pm by the Cleveland Crush a new premier team of the Lingerie Football League (All tips go directly to All Dogs Heaven.) There will be a raffle including Deagan's and a 50/50. The Cleveland Crush will also be signing autographs, live music will begin at 10pm and more.
