Get Out: A Bike Race to Remember; Crafts; and Comedy

There is no need to leave this city. We've got you covered on all-things-fun in Lakewood.

Where/When: / Thursdays Noon – 7 p.m.

Why Go: Drop In & Craft happens every Thursday at Crafty Goodness.  The crafting menu offers something for everyone, from children to adults.  Let the kids come and make a mess at Crafty Goodness while you create something too; painting, jewelry, sewing and more!  Tons of projects that take 30 minutes or less and cost a mere $5.

Where/When: / Thursday July 28th 7-9:30 p.m.

Why Go: No Sleep Till Blackbird is an exhibition of the process and craft of award winning bicycle framebuilder Dan Polito. The exhibition will focus on Dan's process as the man behind Cicli Polito. It will include photographs original plans and drawings, and frames. Complete custom cycles will be on loan through the weekend

Where/When: / Saturday July 30th 1-8 p.m.

Why Go: A criterium is a popular form of high-speed bike racing that showcases the speed, agility and power of the cyclists. The criterium course is closed to traffic, typically less than a mile in distance and punctuated by sharp corners and speeds of over 30 miles per hour. This is the most exciting of all cycling events!

Where/When: / Friday July 29th 9 p.m.

Why Go: Currently based out of Nashville, BUCKTOWN KICKBACK is quickly becoming known for their dynamic and energetic performances that often include tasteful improvisations from its extraordinarily talented roster of musicians. Tickets are $7.

Where/When: The Winchester/ Saturday July 30th 9 p.m.

Why Go: Three accomplished comedians, Ray DeVito, Mike Polk and Chad Zumock, performing a night of hilarious stand up comedy!  Dan Birt hosts the show. Tickets are $10.
