Free Friday 'Front Porch Concert Series' Kicks-Off Today

Event takes place on the front porch of the Lakewood Public Library Main Branch at 7 p.m. each Friday this summer through Aug. 31. And, yes, it's free!

Join friends and family on the front porch at the Main Branch (15425 Detroit Avenue) each Friday at 7 p.m. this summer from July 6-August 31 for FREE concerts.

The line-up, developed with Chris Vance of Vance Music Studios, and in cooperation with the Lakewood Public Library and LakewoodAlive, is sure to appeal to nearly everyone.

  • July 6: Vance Music Studios Rock Bands
  • July 13: Mojo Generations (Modern Big Band)
  • July 20: Testify (Stevie Ray Vaughn Tribute Band)
  • July 27: Speakeasy Night - The Syncopated Sin Swing Band & The Get Hep Swing Dancers
  • August 3: Vance Music Studios Student Rock Bands
  • August 10: The Killer Watt Hours (Classic Funk/Rare Groove)
  • August 17: Lost State of Franklin (American Roots)
  • August 24: Ernie Krivda (Traditional Jazz)
  • August 31: Mo MoJo (Zydeco) 

The July 6 concert will feature student bands Anonymous, Riot 101, The Thundercats, Beginning of the end, and Record Junkies.
