Bend for Beck

Pink Lotus Yoga presents "Bend for Beck", a special fundraising event on Saturday, September 29 to benefit Beck Center's Creative Arts Therapies programs. Pink Lotus Yoga is at located at 18103 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.

The day will kick-off with two donation-only yoga classes (9-10am, Gentle Yoga, 10:15-11:15am Amrit Yoga), a yoga-themed bike rack by metal sculptor David Smith will be dedication at 12noon, followed by an open house until 4pm. Guests can enter to win silent auction and raffle prizes donated by local artists, as well as goods and services of local businesses.

"There is  more to yoga than going to class to exercise and relax," commented owner Marcia Camino,  "the practice of yoga ultimately is about fostering a sense of community, not just within the four studio walls, but in the surrounding community at large through outreach and involvement."
