3rd Annual Chagrin Documentary Film Festival

Documentary films from around the world will take center stage in Chagrin Falls during the third annual Chagrin Documentary Film Festival. The film topics will range from serious issues, to lighter fare and have been submitted from such distant lands as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Australia, Argentina, Peru, France, Netherlands, Cambodia, and Japan, as well as North American favorites from Canada and the U.S., including several entries from Ohio.

The documentary screenings will be shown in seven different venues throughout Chagrin Falls from Wednesday, October 3 through Sunday, October 7. The films range from a fun-loving feature about a yo-yo enthusiast to a heart-wrenching look at the insurmountable odds female veterans face when they return home from active duty.

Entries will compete for awards in nine different categories, including Best Documentary of the Festival. Films are judged based on a variety of criteria, including narrative, character, conflict, theme, editing and entertainment. Films range from 10 minutes to more than an hour in length.
