Warm weather brought out the crowds for first-ever Lakewood
Scarecrow Festival on Saturday.
You could say they had a frightfully good time.
Dozens of scarecrows were unveiled in their assigned locations throughout the Uptown District along Madison Avenue. Event organizers had hoped for 25 Scarecrows this year, however there were nearly 40.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kiwanis of Lakewood and Uptown Lakewood.
Voting will run through Oct. 27. Ballots will be available from the Buckeye Beer Engine, or online where the participants are listed.
Prizes will be awarded in several different categories; and an award presentation is slated to take place at the Buckeye Beer Engine at 7 p.m. Oct. 28.
