While the severe weather in Lakewood on Wednesday caused minor damage and power outages, four tornadoes touched down in Ohio in Ashtabula, Huron, Sandusky, and Tuscarawas counties. As I waited the rain out, I wondered when the last time a tornado touched down in Cuyahoga County.
According to the Tornado History Project, 14 tornadoes have touched down in Cuyahoga County since 1952, causing a total of 645 injuries and 40 fatalities.
The most recent was an F-2 tornado in November, 2002.
Check out the history project’s interactive map for the location and path of those tornadoes.
