Every year at the Lakewood High School Homecoming game, LHS Alumni Marching Band members assemble and play alongside the current year’s Ranger Marching Band. At this year's game vs. Rocky River, a special effort is being made to contact as many former Ranger Marching Band members as possible, to play one last time under the direction of Brian Maskow who is retiring at the end of this school year.

The tenth largest public high school in the state, Lakewood High School has lots to be proud of. The school has received continued "excellent" ratings on the state's report card — not an easy feat. The school is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion. Another point of pride for high school principal Bill Wagner is the fine arts program at the school — one that receives national recognition.
