Please join us for a community forum on Wednesday, July 6th, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church located at 18001 Detroit Avenue to discuss a proposed residential development on Sloane Avenue.

The City has been contacted by a residential development company interested in redeveloping three properties on the west side of Sloane Avenue for 19 townhomes. We feel it is appropriate at this stage that City staff and the interested developer have an open discussion with the community regarding the development of this property.

Any potential development in the City of Lakewood will go through many layers of public input and discussion, including; community meetings and board and commission hearings. Your input is important to us and we look forward to hearing from you.

So, please join us on Wednesday, July 6th, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at St. Peters, parking is available behind the church off of West Clifton Boulevard and signs will be posted leading into the meeting room.

For more information, please contact the Department of Planning and Development at 216.529.6630 or planning@lakewoodoh.net.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church worships in the Anglican tradition with communion, scripture readings, prayer and music led by a choir and pipe organ with brass and other instruments. The building itself was completed in 1928 and has since added on various sections. The church offers plenty of ways for people to get involved, starting with Sunday morning worship services led by Reverend Keith Owen at 8:00 and 10 a.m. and Bible study classes for all ages that follow the 8 a.m. service. Choir programs are available for both children and adults and a childcare center for infants to school-aged children.
