Targeted at the home- or cafe-based worker, the pop-up will provide the and professional environment of an office combined with the social atmosphere of a cafe.
As someone who spends a good deal of time attempting working out of cafes or the office (read: cluttered desk) in my apartment, I know how crazy it can be to try and simply complete a few hours of work. When the snow falls and people head indoors, it becomes almost impossible. The pop-up is a much needed escape for freelancers and home workers like me when our normal workspaces have been inundated.
Free from the noise of crowded cafes, the intention behind these events is to create a place where people can simply work surrounded by others looking to do the same. With coffee generously provided by Rising Star Coffee, a new artisan roaster based in Ohio City, baked goods from Gypsy Bean, a European-style bakery with a new location at the Beck Center, and wireless internet available at Mahall’s, the free pop-up workspace will be a welcome respite from cold and distractions.
The events are planned for December 5 & 12 and January 9 & 23 and will run from noon to 5:00 pm. They are free, open to the public. For more information visit: www.lakework.co/pop-up

So there is a picture of Mahall's in your story but you don't say where within the building this is to take place. Also, is there hope for this to become a more permanent thing. Twice a month for only 5 hours is not much help.

The pop-up is taking place on the first floor (either in the concert area or the bar/cafe) depending on availability. In terms of future plans, LakeworkSpaces is planning on running a few more pop-ups based on how we these go and eventually looking to open a full-time physical location in the not-so-distant future.
