With holiday stress in full swing, I don’t think I’m alone in thinking we could all use a little laughter right now.

So for the December installment of my CLE Read series, I wanted something that would lighten the mood.

And there was Mike Polk Jr.’s Damn Right I’m From Cleveland to the rescue.

You may be familiar with Polk's Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video which went viral a few years ago.

However, between other videos like his ode to the Browns' Factory of Sadness and his sketch comedy work with the award-winning Last Call Cleveland, Polk isn’t a one-hit wonder.

Repeatedly named Cleveland’s best comedian, Polk’s comedic chops caught the attention of local publisher Gray and Co. who invited him to put it all down in writing.

The end result is just-over 100 pages of hilarity, equal parts broad and subversive, poking fun at everything Cleveland – including himself.

And because it's the holidays, I have two copies to give away courtesy of Gray and Co.
