Zombies Take Over Mahall's 20 Lanes Tonight

Zombies to bowl at Mahall's, making for a fun time for both the living and undead.

Zombies will unite and bowl at Mahall's 20 Lanes Saturday.

And they should thank Joe Ostrica of Old School Sinema, who organized the bowling extravaganza.

“It sounds fun, and our zombie friends are always wanting to try something new and unique,” Ostrica, an Avon Lake resident, told Cool Cleveland

This is the first zombie bowling party at Mahall's, said Mahall's co-owner Kelly Flamos. Although she's not planning to join the undead in garb. The staff will also be among the living.

"I've never been to any zombie event before, but we're pretty excited," Flamos said. "We're not sure what to expect."

The Zombie Bowl will be downstairs, so the living can bowl upstairs or listen to the four bands that will be playing

From the looks of Mahall's Facebook page, it's going to be a crowded event with 92 people planning to attend.

Zombies will be bowling from 9 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. Cost is $10 and includes shoe rentals and non-stop bowling. A few makeup artists will be on hand to give zombie-potentials makeovers for a fee.

It's not the first time Zombies have taken a liking to Lakewood. The annual Zombie walk to support hunger is a Lakewood favorite.

Editor's Note: Kelly Flamos is the wife of Lakewood Patch Editor Colin McEwen.
