What's Open, Closed in Lakewood on Labor Day
Most of the places around Lakewood will be closed, but some spots will be open. Here's the scoop.
Monday is Labor Day, and while many have the day off, some spots are still open.
Just not that many.
Let's get started:
The US Post Office will be closed, and there won’t be any mail delivery.
Lakewood City Hall and the Lakewood Municipal Court will be closed in honor of the holiday. Waste and recycling pickup is also postponed for those with pickup on Monday.
There’s no classes at the Lakewood City Schools. No checking out books either at the Lakewood Public Library on Sunday or Monday.
The Lakewood YMCA will be open at 7 a.m. but will close early at 12:45 p.m.
Forget to load up on hot dog buns or soda? The Giant Eagle will be open regular hours, as will Marc’s. However, Nature’s Bin will be closed all day.
The Root Café will be closed, however if you desperately need that holiday caffeine fix, the Caribou Coffee shop will be open across the street for its regular business hours.
A few area restaurants are also expected to remain open — search our directory for a complete list of restaurants.
Know of any businesses running as usual? Let us know in the comments?
