WATCH: Music Teacher Gets Surprise of Her Career
Bernadette Hisey, the music teacher at Harrison Elementary School, was named the Office Max “A Day Made Better” recipient. She was presented with an actual truckload of office supplies.
Bernadette Hisey, the music teacher at Harrison Elementary School, got quite a surprise while teaching on Tuesday afternoon.
Representatives from Office Max named her the Westlake store’s A Day Made Better recipient for the school year.
Then, they surprised 20-year Harrison veteran with a truckload of school supplies.

Congratulations to Bernadette Hisey for her enthusiastic work with the children at Harrison Elementary School. Kudos to Office Max in Westlake for honoring her and the children of Harrison will benefit greatly. Harrison does a wonderful job with the children of this area.

So glad to see a good teacher be recognized by the community. They work very hard and give their all to the children, including a good part of their income. Lakewood has many teachers like Ms. Hisey, we are very lucky. Thanks also to Office Max for their time and attention. Helen Boland

I cannot think of a better deserving teacher to be the recipient of such an award. She works tirelessly with the kids at Harrison to bring out the best in their talents through tappers, instruments, choir and musicals. I thank you, Mrs. Hisey. My son enjoyed all your programs while attending Harrison.
