WATCH: 'Made in Emerica' Skateboarding Event Makes Stop in Lakewood

Hundreds filled the Lakewood Skate Park to witness Monday’s spectacle, sponsored by Westside Skates.

 

Ollies, kickflips and powerslides were a few of the moves performed this week in Lakewood as the “Made in Emerica” traveling group of professional skateboarders made a stop at Lakewood Park.

Hmm....no elbow or kneepads, and no helmets. This seems more dangerous than riding a bike which requires a helmet.

When you are a pro you can decide what's comfortable for you. Their job is to make the trick, not be a safety spokesperson.
