WANTED: New Director for Lakewood Historical Society

Jonathan Wotring, who began the post in December, resigned from the position.

Just 10 months into his new gig, the director of the Lakewood Historical Society has stepped down.

Jonathan Wotring’s last day on the job was Oct. 19.

He left the post “to pursue other interests,” said John S. Pyke Jr., the president of the Historical Society's Board of Trustees.

“We wish Jonathan well in his new endeavors,” said Pyke.

The Lakewood Historical Society is expected to form a search committee to replace Wotring, who only began the post Dec. 1.

Those interested in the job are encouraged to turn in their résumés to the historical society on Lake Avenue or email them to museum@lakewoodhistory.org.

Dear Lakewood Historical Society,
You may want to contact Ann Cicarella, Executive Director of the Shaker Heights Historical Society.
Ann is a passionate Shaker Heights resident who performs this position pro bono. Ann has accomplished a great deal for the Shaker Heights Historical Society: developed a well-designed, informative and interactive website, organizes and recruits speakers for a variety of exhibits and programs, renovated and restored the grounds of the mansion that houses the Historical Society, passionately seeks contributions in all forms, organizes fundraisers, etc.
Ann would hopefully offer ideas to help the Lakewood Historicsl Society.
