Marcia Moll, Rick Sicha and Heather Rudge will be this year’s recipients of LakewoodAlive’s Laskey Service Award, to be presented to them at a special ceremony at the Lakewood Public Library at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The trio is being recognized for years of volunteer service for a number of Lakewood institutions and organizations — including LakewoodAlive’s Main Street downtown revitalization program.
According to a press release, the LakewoodAlive Laskey Service Award was first created in 2009 to honor Tim Laskey, a founding member of LakewoodAlive and Lakewood Community Progress Inc., to reflect his volunteer dedication to the community.
All three recipients are members of the city’s Heritage Advisory Board, which provides research, advice and technical assistance on both residential and commercial projects.
They were the folks who selected the Lakewood Preservation Award winners in May. They are also members of the Lakewood Historical Society, serving roles in the biennial Come Home to Lakewood house tour.
