Sophie Elizabeth Rush, 96, Founder of Rush Inn, Beloved Wife and Mother
Rush was known for her local business upstarts and is survived by her many sons and grandchildren.
Sophie Elizabeth “Betty” Rush, 96, died this past Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Rush, a long time employee of Miller’s Dining Room, was best known in the city for founding Lakewood Clothing & Resale and the popular Rush Inn Bar & Grill, according to McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home.
She is survived by her sons Donald, Dennis and Kenneth and her many loving grandchildren.
The funeral mass will take place at St. Luke Church on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 11:00 a.m.
Friends may call in the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home of Lakewood on Friday between 4 and 8 p.m.
Rush will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
