More than 180 soldiers returned home from the war in Afghanistan on Friday morning.
Friends, family members and the entire community welcomed them home at theLakewood Civic Auditorium.
The troops — with the 112th Engineer Battalion of Brook Park — are returning home from a yearlong deployment in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
With a police escort from Cleveland Hopkins Airport, the troops rolled into town on four large buses before arriving for the packed house ceremony honoring them.
There, family members greeted them with cheers, flags and warm hugs.
