More than 100 people showed up to Vision 21's first birthday on Thursday.
The entrepreneur resource and development center on Warren Road has hit its stride in its first year, said co-founder Diane Helbig.
Helbig said it all started from a conversation that she and co-founder Dave Clements had at the Lakewood Home Days event in 2010.
“We kept talking and it began to take form,” said Helbig, who is also the founder and president of Seize This Day Coaching, as well as the new chairperson of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors.
“We talked about entrepreneurship. We both believe that it’s the small foundational businesses that will bring the economy some help. And we wanted to help.”
