Construction work for the new McDonald’s began last week at the site of the former Detroit Theatre on Detroit Avenue.
The project recently hit a snag, when crews leveling out the property struck a gas line.
The new McDonald’s is expected to open in the fall, officials recently told Lakewood Patch.
