Michael Harper, who was the coach of the girls’ freshmen squad last year, will be the new head coach of the Lady Rangers basketball team at Lakewood High School.
He will replace Mike Gallagher, who replaced Nicole Anderson last year.
Prior to his gig as the freshmen coach, Harper was the coach of the eighth grade Harding girls’ team that won its conference championship.
The school board recently unanimously voted to hire the coach.
